Tongue tie - an abnormally tight frenulum underneath the tongue that may restrict movement of the tongue, and may affect feeding or speech. Surgical repair may be required.

Skin/soft tissue lesions - there are many lesions that require surgical intervention. The most common are dermoid cysts, vascular malformations and burns management.


Head and neck lesions - includes lymph node abnormalities (such as abscess formation), congenital abnormalities (eg branchial remnants, preauricular sinus, thyroglossal remnants), and oral lesions (e.g. mucus retention cyst).

Ingrown toe-nail repairs are a common condition that may require surgical correction either by partially resecting the toenail, or treating the abnormal adjacent skin.
